Created by the Rombos family, we have been cooking southern smoked bbq for over 20 years now, and during that time our management team has won over 50 awards at ribfests. In 1994 we created the Purple Pig Famous Smokehouse. One of the original smokehouses in Canada, we worked alongside with friends from Oklahoma to create an authentic bbq tradition right here in Canada.

Over the past 8 years, our ownership team has competed in over 70 BBQ Cook-Offs. During this time, we have won over 40 awards for best ribs, sauce and chicken. Added to the list of achievements are awards for top restaurants across Ontario.

In 2006 we proudly opened Memphis BBQ & Wicked Wings, a smaller more intimate location, with major emphasis on our take-out. After one year we are excited to say all is great! To date we have been reviewed by numerous outlets and publications. In January of 2007 we were highlighted as one of the top take-out businesses in the Greater Toronto area by Toronto Life Magazine.

The key to our success? Our customers are the best ! We love them all! In our house, there is always time for you. We cook everything on site. Never tried our grub? Don’t worry, theres always a sample waiting right off the grill. Slow smoked ribs, chicken and pulled pork highlight our menu. These feature items are complimented by an excellent selection of sandwiches,salads and kids menu.
