I am known by many as Magic 1.My real name though is Tyler Fergus.When I was 14 years old I had a surgery for my back condition(spina bifida occulta) to fuse the bottom of my spine back together.I was left in a body cast for 3 months at Sick Kid's Hospital in Toronto,ON.While there I was given a beginners magician book that I treasured, and studied, every day.After my cast was removed I began looking for different styles of magic to perform.I took out every magic book I could find at the library and studied them until I knew how to perform each trick backwards and forwards.I practiced until I felt confident enough to begin to professionally perform.I began to perform at school in front of my friends,teachers, and classmates.I got very confident with my skills that I began to perform birthday parties for many of my friends and family, and soon my reputation as a magician grew! I have performed for big companies such as Whirlpool Canada,Home Depot,and Sobey's Warehouse.I also have performed for Sick Children's Hospital,Cystic Fibrosis,and Starlight Foundation.I have performed over 500 birthday parties,kids shows at day cares, schools,and childrens play groups.I have performed 200 adults shows and parties.I cater to all events and ages.
