Welcome to the 2nd annual Century21 5K Family Fun Run and Challenge 10K, which will be held on October 20, 2012.
The races start and finish at the Milton Fairgrounds, a very popular spot last year so that the start and finish are close together. Also, registration, food & refreshment, restrooms and free parking zones are located at the same location, which makes it very convenient for everyone.
The race starts and finishes at the fairgrounds and winds it's way through the streets of picturesque downtown Milton incorporating flats, gentle hills and a single moderate downhill. The 10k runs twice around the course. Last year we had draw packages including Leaf tickets, a $300 Spa Package, Personal Training, 7-day Vacation Vouchers and more. 2012 prizes are currently being collected and we will update that information soon.
More of what our local and out of town runners can expect with our event are:
    •    Chip Timing
    •    Draw Prizes
    •    Finisher Medals
    •    Food & Refreshments
    •    Kidz Zone with bouncy castles and kid friendly games supervised by staff
    •    Aid stations (4k & 7k)
Join in the fun and excitement and register today for the Century21 5K Family Fun Run and Challenge 10K.
Last year's event raised $9000 for the Milton District Hospital Foundation and the purchase of essential medical equipment.
The proceeds from this year's event will purchase a surgical hospital bed, which is found on the MDHF's top priority needs list, as well as support many local charities.
?
VersaCare A.I.R.® ?$12,500
The VersaCare A.I.R.™ bed allows hospitals and other acute care facilities to be more proactive in providing better patient skin care.
More than just a bed, this medical device helps to prevent skin breakdown and improves patient safety. This bed uses an integrated pressure sensing system within the surface that redistributes pressure to prevent pressure ulcers. Adjustable bed height helps patients to get in and out of bed.
Currently, the number of pressure relief beds in the Complex Continuing Care department of Milton District Hospital is insufficient to meet patient demand.
